Not long after her double mastectomy Ms Snare decided she wanted to capture this moment of her life so she hired a photographer to take studio shots of herself topless.
In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Marquina Iliev-Piselli organized a body paint photo shoot for herself and other survivors, and the results are vibrant, artistic, and empowering. Iliev-Piselli produced a similarly glamorous shoot last year and plans to do two a year in conjunction with the help of the New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Breast Center. Iliev-Piselli, a book marketer, is in remission and hopes to devote her time to helping other women battling breast cancer to remain positive, upbeat, and hopeful.
A series of stunning photographs of a Kentucky woman with terminal cancer has helped her spread the message that people living with the illness can still feel beautiful and sexy. Jill Brzezinski-Conley, 35, was first diagnosed with cancer at 31 and now has incurable stage-4 breast cancer that has metastasized to her bones. In August, she took a five-day trip to Paris, where acclaimed Australian photographer Sue Bryce took elegant shots of her in front of the Eiffel Tower and other landmarks in the City of Light.

Last Thursday, Tennessee mother of three and breast cancer survivor Kristi Tavenner, 38, underwent breast reconstruction surgery. On the same day as Tavenner's reconstructive surgery, the Love What Matters Facebook group shared portraits of the mother and her 7-year-old daughter, Rose, which were taken before Tavenner's last round of chemotherapy by Kellie Pizza of Kellie Rose Photography. They've since gone viral.

Sunday, "It's a Breast Thing" hosted their annual calendar photo shoot at the McLaren Greater Lansing education center to help raise funds for local breast cancer patients while they're in treatment for their out of pocket expenses.
