The last time I shared a vintage Workbasket alphabet embroidery pattern with you was this Curvy Alphabet. The letters of this alphabet embroidery pattern would look super stitched in satin stitch. But they could also be done in a simple back stitch or stem stitch which I think would look particularly effective if you used variegated floss.
